If you’re a registered student under the age of 35 and a current undergraduate (in your final year) or postgraduate (currently enrolled) or graduated in 2025 and looking to enhance your skills to become more competitive in the job market, this is for you. The Hasso Plattner d-school Afrika* at the University of Cape Town is hosting an interactive course called Foundation Programme in Design Thinking.

This course will introduce you to the key mindsets and problem-solving methodologies of Design Thinking. You will also learn how to develop innovative human-centred solutions in agile, multidisciplinary teams. These classes take place at the Hasso Plattner d-school Afrika, University of Cape Town at Middle Campus.

d-camp: Introduction to Design Thinking

d-camp is an interactive, design thinking boot-camp that introduces you to the core mindsets, tools, and ways of working through a design thinking learning experience. In one focused day, you’ll learn by doing - working in teams to tackle real challenges and experience design thinking in action. 

Completion of a d-camp is required before applying to the Foundation Programme in Design Thinking and forms part of the participant selection process.
